We recently asked our LinkedIn network what technologies they are excited about this year and which ones they expect their companies to explore using. Here’s what a few construction professionals, from Estimators to Project Managers, across the US said:
“Industrial-Manufacturing Estimating Software. We have seen the future in Dallas and Texas, and it looks bright. I would advise any construction company to look into upgrading their estimation software and bring their game to the Industrial-Manufacturing markets, it is exploding.”
“LEED technology for sure.”
“We are looking at how we can integrate BIM to use in our estimating efforts.”
“Job & contract specific technologies: vibration sensors, motions sensors, thermographs, laser range finders, etc.”
“I feel certain that we will l definitely spend more for modeling software. Also we will be looking into new construction delivery methods such as IPD and P3 as it grows in our industry.”
What construction technology (devices, software, systems) do you hope to use by the end of 2013? Leave us a comment.
