The AEC Hackathon on November 8 was a first for the architecture, engineering and construction communities. Three disciplines came together in an environment where disruption and creative ideas are the essential tools for innovation. Hundreds of creative thinkers descended on San Diego, ready to discuss some of the challenges we face in our industry. Our President, James Benham participated in a technology panel on augmented reality – you can read his review of the event here.
“The goal of the AEC Hackathon is to be a continuous venue and vehicle for tech, entrepreneurship & innovation to come together to help shape the future of our industry. The focus of the event is not just on innovative technology for technology’s sake, but in “Hacking” into traditional processes and workflows of the AEC industry.” – ENR
We are excited to see what this type of cross-discipline collaboration will offer, especially as the V.2 event takes place again this March.
